At Sunbeam Schools we want to create a safe and positive learning environment for all our pupils. We want to mould open-minded, tolerant and empathetic citizens of tomorrow. The first step in this process is to create an atmosphere of acceptance and equality within the school campus.
We do this by ensuring that every student, irrespective of their caste, class, creed, religion, gender, disability or ethnicity gets the exact same access and same treatment from all our staff members. We do not allow any forms of discrimination or abuse and all complaints to the contrary are dealt with very seriously by our school complaints committee. No forms of physical, verbal or sexual abuse are ever tolerated at Sunbeam Schools.
At Sunbeam Schools, we have formulated a child safety policy to ensure complete transparency between parents and school authorities regarding rights and responsibilities. Our safety policy covers the physical safety of students as well as their mental well-being. Sick beds and trained first-aid workers are available to deal with any sudden health issues while in school. Parents of students with disabilities can contact Sunbeam Schools with regards to making certain extra provisions for their wards if necessary.
We also regularly hold various self-defense classes, awareness seminars and sensitization workshops in school to teach students, teachers and non-teaching staff the correct way to protect themselves, to handle sensitive issues and to interact with everyone with kindness and without prejudice.
At Sunbeam Schools, we prepare our students with the knowledge and awareness to protect themselves within school premises as well as outside in the real world. We encourage them to speak up against any injustice done to them or to their friends. Quick and immediate action is also taken to further reinforce the importance of physical and emotional safety in the minds of young students.
Sunbeam Schools believes in working closely with parents as well as students to maximize the safety and comfort of every single pupil. So, we welcome any feedback or suggestions regarding our child safety policy.
