At Sunbeam Schools we are committed to the principle of equal opportunity for all to have a safe educational environment. We do not condone any forms of discrimination or harassment on our premises by any members of our staff or by any students. All students and staff members irrespective of their gender, class, caste or creed have a right to access all facilities offered by Sunbeam Schools.
We have also formed a school complaints committee to handle any violations of this principle if they do arise. Our school complaints committee includes the Principal, a male teacher, a female teacher, a male student, a female student and one non-teaching staff member. We want all important stakeholders to be represented in this committee. If any complaint is raised, the committee recommends harsh punishments or gets legal authorities involved as and when necessary.
At Sunbeam Schools we also regularly hold awareness seminars about gender equality, sexual harassment, verbal and physical abuse, workplace etiquette and much more. Our aim is to prevent any untoward incidences from occurring. But the school complaints committee acts as an extra safeguard to swiftly and effectively deal with any offenders if such unfortunate issues do crop up on rare occasions.
Parents of students at Sunbeam Schools can rest assured that we comply stringently with all measures of the POCSO 2012 Act (Protection of Child from Sexual Offenses).
The safety of our staff and our students is our topmost priority and our school complaints committee is an active mechanism where parents, students and employees can readily seek redressal if they ever feel that their safety is being compromised.
At Sunbeam Schools we work tirelessly to create a positive learning environment where young minds can be nurtured to be kind, tolerant and compassionate. We expect all students, workers and parents to collaborate with us to fulfill our objective.
