I joined sunbeam during the academic year 2012-2013 as a sixth-grader and completed schooling. The school has given me a lot of memories. As I grew up, I got to see the school improve and that is very usual for Sunbeam. Because they never cease to do that. When I joined Sunbeam, it was the best school in the district and still, it maintains its position and will be there forever. I believe the reason for that is the ability to never cease to grow and improve. Each and every time when I enter for a fresh start of the academic year we would get a new revelation of the growth, the moment I enter, I start to search for the changes and improvements that have been done during our summer vacation and that’s how sunbeam worked over the years I studied there. The campus is so large that it even competes and undoubtedly knocks out colleges in the aspect of size and infrastructure. But despite the campus being big, I remember each and every place where a lot of incidents and events are related to. So simply put, the huge campus gave me huge memories. It is like there is no place in Sunbeam that I never visited and naturally the competitions and events held by the school itself introduce you to every place out there. As time flew, we got near public exams and the methods that Sunbeam followed was very different from others and I came to know that from my friends outside sunbeam. We were not forced to study for more hours and the school was not increasing our pressure about the exam, instead, they made us write a lot of tests and model exams which definitely improved us over time. Here’s the reason behind that, this method sowed the seeds of competitiveness deep within us. It was so deep that I could only realize that in the later half of the academic year. We had our friends as rivals in a healthy competition, but behind the scenes, everyone was working hard with their own interest in order to take down their rival which is very important. At this point, I clearly understood the motive of our school that they wanted us to study and learn things with an interest, so in order to ignite that spark they took on the method of making us write the test. Those days also gave us a lot of memories. After the completion of the 10th-grade public exam, we got good results and that was very much expected by everyone. Again I got admitted in Sunbeam for 11th grade, this time the school changed drastically we got lot of new friends and more new structures (eg. Thiruvalluvar Hall). We had a lot of fun events again that year and as usual for every event, the school was visited by many special VIPs each time. A year passed like this and then again came the 12th-grade public exam. And as known, we were following the similar method. This time I personally understood a lot more about school. They believed in us more than we did. At last, everything turned out so well. Now I am an alumnus of sunbeam and I am proud of that. I am very happy about the fact that I did my schooling in Sunbeam because the school excels in every aspect like studies, co-curricular activities, and mainly in discipline. I learnt a lot inside the school and every small thing has had an impact on daily life and that could only be understood after completing the schooling. So basically we were the birds that grew inside a nest called “SUNBEAM”. I also know that every alumni of Sunbeam can put himself/herself as the protagonist of this article because everyone in our family shares very similar memories with our school. So this is just a slice of life I lived inside sunbeam school. Thank you sunbeam for letting me be a part of a superior family. THANK YOU! BY ABOORVAN GOPINATHAN Memories Of Sunbeamian !
