My journey at Sunbeam School was more than a decade and was worth the while. I started my schooling in 2003, I entered Sunbeam as a raw tutee who was timid, anxious, innocent and anticipated. But, throughout my journey, Sunbeam made me evolve into a well-shaped, bold, desirous, confident, ambitious and positive person. There are many things that strike my mind when I think of Sunbeam, ample memories and incidents on the campus with the students, teachers and the management which are all emotional, nostalgic and I would cherish them for the rest of my life. To start with Sunbeam, as the name suggests, the campus is beaming with positivity and energy similar to the sun. It is immense with lush greens, a comforting environment, heartwarming teachers and staff which really is a place of goodness for students to thrive with a sound mind and heart leading them into optimistic ones in life. All the teachers and the management were strong pillars in my successful life at Sunbeam. To mention with our Harigopalan sir, Rajee mam, Rathish sir, Usha mam, Sumathi mam, Samyuktha mam, Vidhya mam, Ramu sir, Amrutha mam and Vasuki mam. All these great people were always caring, enthusiastic, positive, patient, made learning easy, motivated, shared their experiences and taught me what life really is which made me knowledgeable, disciplined, self-motivated and overall a better person in life. I thank them all from my bottom of my heart with gratitude for their guidance, support, encouragement and bringing out the best in me and for making me feel like home and family. Sunbeam gave me a lot of opportunities from academics to extracurriculars which made me discover myself, introspect, build up my self-confidence, make me ambitious and prove myself which helped me tackle all challenges in life and succeed. Sunbeam always gave us quality education. The teachers were talented with loads of knowledge and always monitored our academic progress and did appropriate interventions for betterment in studies. We also had audio-visual classes, and well-equipped labs for a better learning process. Extracurriculars like the school inter-house competitions, club activities, fine arts fortnight competitions, and science fairs helped me in discovering my talents, overcoming stage fright, making me creative, innovative and think out of the box. We also had personality and language development classes, career guidance sessions, and motivational and inspirational speeches from great personalities which helped me to stay focused, motivated, inspired and progress towards my goals. Sunbeam not only taught me academics and studies but also gave me enough life experiences which taught me about essential things in life: happiness, positivity, overcoming negativity and fear of failure, accepting criticism, appreciating my flaws, individuality and what friendship, affection, sharing, caring is all about. All these memories and experiences made me grow professionally and personally into a better individual. With immense pleasure and gratitude, I’m thankful to Sunbeam for all that it has given me in life.
