My journey at Sunbeam started on one fine day, the day which changed my life. It added more meaning to my life and instilled in me my responsibilities on educating young minds. I am putting down my views about Sunbeam in this article. I take this chance to share my own experiences and my inspiring journey with Sunbeam that changed my life. Sunbeam has an environment that not only assures learning but also pays special attention to the physical and mental well-being of the students. Being surrounded by a lush green environment makes us feel fresh and get off to a great start. The school environment is specially designed to be in such a way that it gives a lot of information to the students. The campus is spread over 30 acres, with trees over there, an aviary, a little pond, a big organic garden, a science park…and whatnot. I swear no other school can provide such things. Preparing the environment for learning is a very important aspect. And that makes Sunbeam special. Sunbeam is the place where students are encouraged to keep their surroundings clean and green. I never wanted to be a teacher even in my dreams. But I had no options left but to take up teaching. I have always thought teachers are losers. But, all of these changed in one day. The day that broke all my thoughts about teachers and teaching. Sunbeam management organised a programme exclusively for teachers. I am one among them to attend the programme. It was Mr. Dhamu, the actor who conducted the programme. I felt teaching is no more a service and teachers teach for a salary. But, then after the programme, I felt something great about the teachers who taught me and the moment of spark made me love teaching. Sunbeam brought that change into me and from that moment I started loving my job as a teacher and I felt responsible as my little work as a teacher will reflect on the future of our country. How great? Sunbeam changed me. I am fortunate. Sunbeam is not only my workplace it’s something more than that. We always say sunbeam family and exactly that’s what I feel. It’s my second home. The care that was showered on me by the management is exceptional. My son is a proud Sunbeamian. It is a dream come true for me when my son started his schooling at Sunbeam. It would not have been possible without the support from the management. They supported me and not only me. Sunbeam cares for each and every individual and that makes the Sunbeam family. The respect for Sunbeam grew and grew and grew. It reached a peak when our honourable chairman announced a scheme called ‘Naam Sunbeam‘. The idea that came out from the chairman, the purpose is purely to help the lowest-paid employees in Sunbeam. This kind of idea will only emerge from the management which has got revolutionary thinking and always strive to uplift their employees. I am proud that I am one among them. I don’t know when we will achieve social equality in our country but I experienced that in ‘Naam Sunbeam’. Social equality, where all the employees are treated equally, from the principal to the housekeeping staff. I truly feel ‘Naam Sunbeam’ is yet another milestone for Sunbeam. I wish it to be continued. Don’t you think Sunbeam is something special? We would have often come across the word, Secular. Schools are now no more secular. They have lost the meaning of being secular. I have never enjoyed or experienced secularism during my schooling. The very first thing that inspired me in Sunbeam is being truly secular to the fullest. Our country badly needs it and in Sunbeam it’s been implemented. Here at Sunbeam all religions are equally treated and celebrated. The students are so fortunate to be at Sunbeam without any restrictions to follow what they believe in. To see the change outside, make the change from inside. That’s what has been followed in Sunbeam. We are making the change from the inside. Thank you Sunbeam for sowing the seed of secularism inside the campus. I believe the change will reflect in our society. I want everyone to know about the history of Sunbeam where a few young minds with a lot of passion for teaching wanted to bring change in school education, started from scratch and now think of the place where they are? They made history. Nothing is impossible when you believe in yourself and keep working towards reaching your dream. The lesson that I have learnt from Sunbeam. Sunbeam is not just a brand, it’s a dream. The dream of our chairman and correspondent which came true and standing so tall in front of us. Sunbeam – The Inspiring Journey.
